Croydon Business Association and Croydon Smile Hub celebrated another major success with the delivery of HerZone 2, a powerful entrepreneurship and self-employment programme supporting women across Croydon to turn ideas into action.

Held on Tuesday 19 May 2026 at the Croydon Smile Hub and supported by the Mayor of London and Croydon Council, the event brought together women aged 16+ from diverse backgrounds, all seeking practical support, confidence, and guidance to explore business ownership and self-employment. The one-day intensive workshop covered essential entrepreneurial skills including business planning, pricing, marketing, customer research, legal registration, presentation skills, and developing a strong unique selling point (USP).

Designed to be accessible to all experience levels, the session combined expert guidance, interactive discussions, and personalised support. The impact was immediate and inspiring. Several participants launched social media business pages, registered new ventures, or began trading on the very same day. Feedback showed that every attendee felt the programme had strengthened their confidence and moved them closer to their goals. More than a workshop, HerZone 2 demonstrated the power of community-led economic growth — helping women create opportunities, develop sustainable income pathways, and become part of Croydon’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem. With demand continuing to grow, HerZone 3 is already underway, continuing the mission to empower more women into enterprise across South London.
